Head of System Development - e-commerce

Salary: £60,000 – £80,000

Responsible for the successful and timely delivery of quality assured IT solutions to support a major retailers catalogue and website business. Providing the business with a customer focused, efficient and cost effective IT service. The individual will be required to manage all technical aspects accross multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will have the ability, confidence and credibility to influence at the highest level, as well as have experience of third party license agreements/negotiations and a sound technical IT background.

The postholder is responsible for ensuring the scope of projects is understood and timescales proposed and agreed by the relevant Director and team. The role must ensure implementation of projects on time, in line with business proposals, ensure operational support 24 × 365 and resolution of operational issues with minimum impact to the business. In addition the role is responsible for presenting proposals at Director/board level and for liaising with other areas of systems to maintain integrity of the end to end design of solutions.
