This position, working within the Quality/Warehouse area of an engineering company is responsible, primarily for the final inspection of goods prior to despatch, perpetual inventory counting and management of all quality control activities within the manufacturing unit.
As a varied position, it will also require, assisting warehouse staff as required – packing boxes/pallets/labelling, loading lorry (forklift truck), unloading shipments & booking goods in, cleanliness/tidiness of the warehouse.
A responsible outlook is essential, to ensure full compliance with ISO requirements, creating, adjusting and distributing all quality documentation and deputising in the absence of the site manager.
Experience within a hands on mechanical or electronic environment, possibly with some supervisory responsibility, education to GCSE level in Mathematics & English and ideally a Fork Lift Truck (Reach) Licence is required.
