Salary: £26,000 – £32,000 + & Final salary pension

This position is working within a vibrant, open minded and friendly environment for a world renowned institution and one of the regions largest employers.

Due to growth, a Buyer is required within the scientific purchasing team to provide purchasing support and expertise to internal customers, leveraging at least 2 years experience in general purchasing, involving negotiation of complex contracts. A numerate degree and CIPS or actively studying towards this is desirable.

The role is extremely varied, ranging from leading a tendering excercise to purchase a multi million pound cutting edge piece of equipment through to purchasing consumables for field research into disease.
